March 2024
The Boeing transformation challenge sought for students to create an idea and/or product concept to address a need in Manufacturing Operations. I led a team of 3 to design and present a product concept called InfoGlass, which combines Augmented Reality with local data processing to deliver technician machine instructions using machine data. These glasses would both optimize technician schedules, and prevent wasted time on routine machine maintenance checks, along with elimination of human error in assessment of machines. I, along with two of my teammates, pitched this idea to 9 Boeing judges, and ultimately won the $2000 scholarship challenge.
UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH
January - May 2025
This research team investigated using a system of microphones to perform additive summation on audio waveforms to selectively amplify sound picked up form various corners of a room. To assist with microphone testing, I 3D printed threaded microphone stands to provide balance to the microphones and prevent them from rotating during testing.
January - May 2025
This research project involved using hyperspectral imaging data to autonomously detect microplastics in tuna samples. I developed NumPy Python scripts to process 2 GB of spectral data per sample, and analyze chemical variation across each pixel to identify microplastic outliers.
CLASS PROJECTS
December 2023
In a class project, I took a lead role on designing a sound-controlled light switch, where I used SolidWorks to CAD a 3D model and print a chassis system for the switch that incorporates an Arduino, battery pack, actuator, and bracket to flick a light switch.
August 2021
For a class project, I developed a custom gumball machine using a wooden CNC-machined gear system that could rotate a gumball gear and drop the balls into a lower container.
